Disaster Preparedness & Education Hub
Inspired by Myanmar's resilience after the 2008 Nargis Cyclone, this thesis reimagines a disaster-preparedness centre as a celebration of local agriculture. Built from bamboo, rammed earth, and synthetic thatch, its aerodynamic, wind-resistant clusters double as evacuation shelters and aid storage during emergencies — fostering self-reliance and community. The concept, 'The Rice,' draws on the delta as the rice bowl of Myanmar, where growth symbolises hope.
